Meet Catherine McAuley, the vision and creative force behind Onyx + Moss Interiors. Raised here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and constantly inspired by the natural beauty around her, Catherine has spent years blending natural regional inspiration with elevated, intentional design.

Her journey into the world of aesthetics began in the fashion industry. After completing formal training at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, Catherine developed a sharp eye for texture, balance, and timeless style. While her foundation was built in fashion, her true passion found its home in interior design and staging.

After successfully designing a complete refresh of her first home, Catherine and her husband took on the challenge of purchasing and gutting their second property. Orchestrating the design choices for every single room served as the ultimate creative outlet. Realizing how much joy she found in the process, Catherine knew she had to turn this passion into a business to help others fall in love with their own homes.

Today, Catherine specializes in transforming ordinary spaces into elevated, beautiful, and lived-in environments. She believes that every home should tell a unique story and reflect the distinct personalities of the people who live there. Deeply grateful for the long-lasting relationships she builds with clients along the way, Catherine treats every project as a collaborative partnership.

When she isn’t busy transforming spaces, Catherine can be found enjoying life in the PNW with her amazing husband, their two boys, and their sweet Goldendoodle. She would love to welcome you into the Onyx + Moss family and help you bring your dream home to life.
